I too wish Pres Bush would fight back harder, but the press will NEVER air all the truth about him. He'll be remembered by history as a great leader, imho.
I didn't see it, but I have liked the bites I heard and I would really like to like McCain. I still don't but I guess I'm getting won over to a state of resignation because he is sounding better and the thought of Hillary (still possible IMO) and/or Obambam...
Like you, I’ve heard the stump speeches and know McCain’s positions. This was the first full event I watched, evaluating both sides. McCain so outclassed Obama that it’s impossible to not support him even though I will never be a McCainiac or big fan.
Andrea Mitchell has probably cleared that up for Gergan by now. Gergan just didn't know that McCain heard the questions and had time to prepare. hahahahahahahah.
History will be kind to President Bush.
The major failing of the Bush Administration is their soft attitude towards their political adversaries, including the Drive By Media. They allowed the Left to turn the American people against them and against the WOT, and allowed the Left to encourage Al Queda and the insurgents in Iraq. Giving the State Department too much power over the Iraqi theater was a part of that. Trusting liberals is usually disastrous. Much like Lincoln, though, he found his general and turned the tide of the (post) war.
too good!dowling rods, about their speed.
Obama’s a racist. He plays the race card because he can’t help it, just as all Democrats do. I really enjoy watching Democrats going nuts over it all. They are trying SO hard to convince everyone they are not racist, while practicing racism at every instance. Poor Geraldine Ferraro, she was caught acting like a racist and she lost her composure trying to convince everyone she wasn’t. The more she defended herself the more she came across as racist.
Racism is alive and well, inside the Democrat party.
I’m with you Sal, as regards McCain and your sig line, as an aside.
Big thing for me is McCain’s choice of VP. Also trying to find a “like” for McCain is difficult because just when we thought he was going straight, he goes and does something stupid. There’s three full months plus left until election day, lots of time for him to go and spit on the base yet again with his Maverick ways.
Right now, McCain better not renounce Corsi or his book. McCain already did that for the benefit of the wonderful, personable and Vietnam Vet, John Kerry. I was bitter about that but the DBM is doing its best to get McCain to denounce him again.
Corsi’s book is hurting Obama big time. If McCain denounces the author, well I’m back to square one on this candidate.
GMTA!!! See my # 6, this thread.
Just because people defend George W. Bush here doesn’t mean they think he “walks on water”.
I don’t think he’s a failure, either. I’ll defend him on that. So be it.
That was an interesting place from which to give a speech.
I didn't see Bayh, but one of the DNC talking points for today is that Obama warned us that our focus on Iraq kept us too distracted to take care of ANYTHING else. I'm pretty sure Kaine and McCaskill both said it not quite word for word, but close.
They know they can't say we're losing/have lost in Iraq anymore so they ignore the success and say that Iraq drained us of the ability to deal with anything else. It made me laugh and feel pretty darn good.
So for Obama to say he won't increase taxes this group is a certifiable lie. And, it ought to be exposed in a McCain commericial.
Voters need to be urged to check their pension and 401k/403b holdings. Maybe the McCain commerical should list a number of major pension and other retirement funds and LIST THE PERCENTAGE OF THOSE INVESTED IN OIL COMPANIES. Ask voters to check their fund, or provide a site that lists more funds. EXPOSE THE OBAMA LIE!
"That's a man, baby."
