LATE EDITION (CNN) :
Supreme Court Justice Nominees repeat from Saddleback
Obama should have picked any name out of the hat but Clarence Thomas, now everyone will be courious who he is, and they’ll find a nice man, not what Barak sees.
But, as the rest of the debate, McCain knew what he was talking about while Obama stammered to even remember any name of a Supreme Court Judge.
Dont start.
Just cause people post here dont assume they think George Bush walks on water.
It gets harder every year for the Democrats to lie and then try to put all the blame on Republicans. We may not control the MSM but people are utilizing alternative new media more than ever before, and it’s showing.
Obama trying to sit on the fence is giving him crotch rot and splinters.
These guys are all robin hood all the time. Steal from the so called rich and give to the bozos. McCain pointed out last night that many of the so called rich are self employed working 16 hours a day.
Well said!
I still wonder if Obama was really an affirmative action student at Harvard.
I know Obama has little knowledge or understanding of history, civics, politics, ethics and morals, but his lack of knowledge on the law is amazing. Usually a lawyer knows a little bit about the law. Obama knows very little about laws and the constitution, which is why he supports gun control laws but claimed he supported the Supreme Courts decision on the Second Amendment.
Read any opinion written by Clarence Thomas and there is no question that Thomas is an outstanding and superior justice.
“Im stunned. Arent the lib talking points that this is Georgias fault and that Russia is only at fault as much as Georgia? Didnt he get the memos?”
They seem to be trying that, but they must not be paying attention to the whole rest of the world. See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2063072/posts posted yesterday by kristinn. It’s an article by Reuters and my favorite lines from it are:
Commentators in Russia said Moscow was caught off guard by this reaction from its ex-Soviet neighbors.
“Everyone in Moscow thought: ‘We are in the right and the enemy will be destroyed’, but in Minsk and other CIS capitals everyone was in disarray,” Nezavisimaya Gazeta daily wrote.
“This has totally paralyzed the CIS leaders including Belarus. Moscow did not expect this from its closest ally.”
Well, I didn’t expect it from R. Holbrook (to say) or Reuters (to report it straight) either. Poor Andrea Mitchell is going to feel really lonely out there twisting in the wind as she tries to feebly insinuate that “Georgia did... something.”
This has been a huge loser for Russia and the DBM who try to pretend otherwise are going to come up losers too. Even Claire McCaskill on FNS was very clear that it was Russian aggression and WRONG.
OTOH she kept her hand in as a doofus when she tried to say that McCain had overstepped his bounds by speaking too strongly about Russia because we have to be bipartisan about this and support our President and SecState and we only have one President at a time. She seemed to think McCain undercut President Bush. Pretty weak try IMO especially as what McCain said pretty much went along with what President and SecState were saying.
I agree with you, Roccus.

LATE EDITION (CNN) :
Candy Crowley
at first “thought pro obama crowd”
“very hard to read the crowd”
“obama took out after Clarence Thomas saying he wasn’t ready for the job”
.
Blitzer ‘Obama’ “received pretty well”
.
King
“different agenda’s” Obama talked to Warren, McCain talked to the crowd
“Republicans will use them answers”
.
Schnider
“isn’t nearly as polarized”
Both said that because of Iraq, we took our eye off of the ball everywhere else in the world and that the War in Iraq is responsible for this war in Georgia. What clowns. How many times in the past 3 years has Obama mentioned Georgia unless he was speaking about Atlanta? ZERO, NONE, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH, GOOSE EGGS and so forth, while McCain not only mentioned it, but actually traveled there many times.
The Obama campaign is really good at one thing. Watching events pass, making them appear as part of the sky falling, blaming them on Bush and then linking John McCain to Bush.
If anyone watched their interviews last night, when each man was asked what they had done to buck their own party, Obama couldn't think of anything while McCain has a list a mile long. It appears to me that Obama will do whatever the Democratic Party wants, and Jimmy Carter is an elder in that very same party.
Obama's comments about Thomas (that Thomas is a moron and is unqualified) have a rancid smell (just as Harry Reid's did on a previous occasion). It's very difficult to fathom how much the left hates Thomas (because he didn't follow the script assigned to him). I think their hatred is just as intense as BDS.
“Never have,I have had more than my share of disagreements with the President but at this time of year it seems to me it’s a time to come together and defeat demorats not ourselves.”
I look at politics more as an ideological rather that one party vs the other. Especially when the Republocrats are nominating people like McCain.
Supporting your high opinion of Freepers, you’ll get a kick out of this.

Excellent! I don't want Pawlenty and I was worried about Bayh because he manages to look lots more moderate than he is and I had thought that he wasn't too dumb. But that statement is sooo out of key with international reaction which the DBM will be pretzelling themselves into congruance with that I think he just blew it.
Evidently you missed Evan Bayh's interview when he said that had we only listened to Obama when he said, MONTHS ago, everything required to take care of Georgia and Russia, this wouldn't be happening now.
So you too missed those Obama sound bytes in which he solved the problems of the planet to our deaf ears?
