I really think “marketing” is a good description but needs a modifier like “snake oil,” “scare tactics,” “coercive ,” whatever.

I don’t think it’s “coercive”,
as blacks gladly submit to the Democrats. Even Armstrong Williams is said to be leaning to Oprah’s Obama.
