That's one of the stupidest excuses for blacking out the number I've heard. If that were the case, wouldn't they black out ALL certificate numbers as they were issued? Otherwise anyone holding a valid Hawaii Certificate of Live Birth could potentially break into their system by using their own file number. Doesn't sound like a very secure system.
Very good, you've added another dimension to this controversy. Why would they black out the number indeed? So it can't be cross-referenced? Because it's his sister's number, perhaps? This controversy has legs.
Yes, I think her statement regarding the blacking out of the cert number is ridiculous too and makes very little sense, and when this story started up a few months ago, I believe the “Israeli Insider” asked if the state of Hawaii would black out a number before they sent a copy, and she said no, that they would never do that because it would render the document invalid. It’s on one of the older threads, not sure which one, but she seems to be changing her talking points as she goes.
