You might consider the importance of FREEDOM of choice

The freedom of the individual ends when it infringes on the freedom of another individual- especially when that freedom is the freedom to live. That is why both abortion as was slavery, are the most vital issues as they deal with the most fundamental freedom- that of the individual to live his/her own life.

There are sometimes conflicts regarding the "freedom to live". A prime example is the taking of life in the conduct of war. If life was more important to us than freedom, we would not fight wars; we would give up our freedom and comply with the will of our enemies.

The key element here for me is the freedom and responsibility for determining what will happen inside a woman's body. In China, the government determines reproductive matters - one child per family. That must involve some number of abortions. I don't want the government making those kinds of decisions - either way.
