LOL, not to change the topic but isn’t Phelps swimming soon? I can’t find a live thread.

Are they going to stop eating refried beans to cut down on the methane?

Are they going to stop eating refried beans to cut down on the methane? I don't know, but I'm quite confident your wallet will be a lot lighter.

Of course they do it means they get something. How about they crack down on illegal immigration and drugs.

They are going to get green by transferring their population to us and growing more drugs. Who needs dirty factories that actually make things when you have a parasitic, agrarian nacro-economy?

How do you “fight” climate change? I’d like to make it partly cloudy and 68 degrees here everyday.

At first glance I saw: Mexican border states join California in fighting climate change
Fighting?
Fighting?
YIKES!
And then I saw the rest of the headline.
All the comparisons between Hitler invading sudentland and Russia invading Georgia to the scenario of Mexico invading the southern US must have me on edge.

If the SW desert wants to go green, the solution is simple. First of all, the biggest problem is the water shortage, not the heat.
They should pump massive amounts of sea water into manmade basins in the deserts on both sides of the border. Half the water will percolate in the aquifer and by desalted by it is in deep wells. Half the water will evaporate into the air, increase humidity and rain downwind. That rain will increase the growth of GREEN vegetation. Tourist traps can be built on the shores of the manmade lakes to generate revenue also. The water pumped over the hills/mountains to the desert is available for fire fighting with reservoirs at the top of the hills.
It is a win-win solution for all concerned. But it would be opposed by most environmentalists as they don’t really want to solve the problem. They just want to whine.
They aren’t the only ones who just want to whine. Accross the board, most people whining about some problem, both on the right and left, don’t really want to solve those problems and leave them with nothing to whine about.

If they want to fight climate change, they need to take it up with the Climate Creator.

They are actually attempting to fight the climate Creator with the weak argument that THEY (i.e., we human taxpayers) are the Climate creators!!!
Given over to deception, thinking the Truth to be the lie.

To: Force of Truth
The majority of Californian's have already done so, at the voting booth over the past several decades.
