An eyewitness account from the conflict zone.
Yeah, just look how peaceful the Pali's are to the Israeli's. When someone is shelling your citizens with mortars your best bet it to build them a hospital.
Some chumps think we’re playing checkers.
How soon we forget. Giving the Russians the benefit of the doubt is a major mistake.
I find it amazing they can travel that far from the time the first shots took place to the tunnel in 3 1/2 hours. just getting orders has to take time, then loading the trucks.
Looking at that road I don't think I could do it in a sports car if I was given the whole 3 1/2 hours.
“Since when did FR become innundated with so many Russian ass kissers?”
It’s not just on FR. I’m seeing similar posts all over usually Conservative/Right/Anti-Communist websites. It appears the KGB or something affiliated with it is able to summon quite a number of posters flooding the internet with pro-Russian propaganda.
So, comrade, do you agree with Georgia’s brutal tactic of indiscriminate shelling of civilian areas?
The actual civilian death toll in Tskhinvali. That was after days of fighting between the Russians and Georgians. Im sure that more have died but it is no where near the 2k that Russia is claiming. Im sure the Georgian death toll will be well over 2k before this is done. To answer your question though, Do you still beat your wife?
Should have been italicized.
They were moved up to the area on the 4th when Georgia escalated tensions. I suspect they were also put on alert when Georgia started moving it's troops forward again.
The Georgians claim two Georgian villages (within South Ossetia) were fired upon at 10:30. Georgia reports their assault began about 11:55. Depending on which Georgian report you believe, the Russians moved through the tunnel at at 2:30 or 5:30. Russia reports that moved shortly after 3:00.
The Georgians also captured eight or nine South Ossetian villages in a fifteen miles radius around the capitol. It seems pretty clear that both the Georgians and Russians had troops pre-positioned.
The Georgians were able to begin their massive assault within an hour and a half of the alleged firing on Georgian villages in SO. The first reports that Russians are able to engage the Georgian firing positions at Tskhinvali first appear at 20:29.
Here's a eyewitness Reuters report of the all-out-assault on Tskhinvali and surrounding villages.
Love it! Great post.
Ralph Peters ( former US military guy) who writes for the washington Post was on a terrific panel on ..of all places..Cspan the other night. I have never seen him so emotional. He was appalled that the whole western media—including cable—just took the Kremlin’s talking points (Genocide, blah blah; Georgia invaded, blah blah) as FACT and kept repeating them They didn’t even chekc it out!
thank you for a little reality testing. we have a lot of “couch analysts and experts” ..ha. Oh, and lefty trolls abound. We need the Viking kitties!
wow! Love your research capabilities! did you see the Cspan panel this week with ralph Peters and the commander of the US that was training the Georgian army?
the western media is pathetic. Even the cable were losers...and what happened to fox? I was forced to watch CNN..I just couldn’t take one more Greta show on the latest missing child and her interview of the mother’s boyfriend’s roomate??? Especially when hundreds of Georgians were getting slughtered and we may be on the brink of war with russia. well, at least I could count on Greta to interview a Georgian about missing yogurt.
Reuters, who had a reporter there, had this to say!
But, you can continue to deny Georgia's guilt.
Reuters is just another left-wing propaganda machine. I’d trust them about as far as I trusted Dan Rather.
They've been fighting for freedom from Georgia as far back as 1918.
Not sure how much liberty they would have. Probably more than they would in Georgia, especially now!
Hehe. That's funny!
A lot of people fell for Hitler’s propaganda that the Poles were committing crimes against their German population before September 1939.
How are things in Moscow?
thanks for the historical research. It is tragic that our government schools have so stupified our citizens. Makes them more agreeable to the Lefty dictators.
There was shooting in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone again yesterday [3 August] ... At the same time, it has been reported that five battalions of Russia's 58th Army are approaching the Roki tunnel [linking South Ossetia with North Ossetia].BBC via TOL (CZ)
