Aren’t they both in the “Gang of 10?”
Yes, Chambliss and Isakson are members in good standing of the Gang of Ten. When Rush first reported on the Gang, and explained what an unmitigated disaster it was for the Republicans (while concomitantly an election year lifeline for the Dems) Chambliss called his show to defend himself. I listened to him talk, and honestly I want to like the guy because everybody says, “Chambliss is one of the good ones.” He just sounded confused, clueless and disingenuous to me. His pathetic assertion “We have done our homework” (makes him sound like a little kid, doesn’t it?) was belied by his co-assertion that his constituents would rather have a bipartisan energy bill than no bill at all. If he’d done five minutes worth of “homework” at home (i.e.: in GA) as opposed to ensconced in DC, he would know the average conservative is livid that once again their senators have given away the store.
And on a related note, can somebody, anybody, do something about Lindsey Graham??? I believe the man is mentally unbalanced.
