I thought we weren’t supposed to have stories from AP anymore. Oh wait, this is the real Pravda, not the American one...

There’s no “partnership” with commies in Moscow.

I second the vote for Georgia. Let Cold War II commence.

Not too much of the world will believe Russian “investigators”... Putin dictated the conclusions they would reach before they ever entered Georgia.

The fact that we are sending aid to Georgia ought to tell them which side we stand. Time to kick Russia out of the G8, WTO, etc.

The only thing virtual about Georgia are the Russian Hordes that are destroying the real constructions made by the Free Peoples of Georgia. Russia needs to decide whether it wants to enter the Free World where actions will have real consequences.

Classic Pravda. Furthermore, that the Communist daily takes the current Russian regime's side speaks volumes.

Ah! Another report/opinion piece from that beacon of truth and democracy, Pravda-the Russian state's voice.

Given the choice, I choose Georgia...the Soviet Union Russia is just another oppressive regime with renewed imperialistic dreams.

Choose Georgia.

And pull out that book those Chinese guys wrote on “Asymmetric Warfare” and see what sort of harm you can do to the Sov, er, Russians, while remaining short of war.

Putin dictated the conclusions they would reach before they ever entered Georgia.

According to some reports, they are already executing "pillagers"....................

The US does not have to choose anything. Our nation trusted that we could be friends with both nations.

Russia broke that trust and will have few friends anywhere now.

Putin has not won any hearts and minds with his buffoonish invasion.

While our left continues to put the entire fault at President Bush’s feet, it’s clear the rest of the world sees it differently.

Blame America first is becoming out of fashion, except on CNN and MSNBC.

We stand with free peoples. we don't stand with thugs, rapists and murderers. The Russian people must decide whether they stand with free peoples of with thugs. During the last eight years they have chosen.... poorly.

“...the Russian minister commented George W. Bush’s statement about South Ossetia:
“The qualification of the speechwriters, who prepared the statement, surprised me again,” Lavrov stated.”

The typical Leftist Condescension tactic. Belittlement of G.W. Bush and the United States position. Ultimately there is no communication as this sort of tactic, which it is a tactic translates as there is no more to discuss. We are right and everybody else is wrong, so blow it out your ear (to put it politely).

“The official stated that he rejected the black and white approach to the situation, when one is defined as a bad guy and the other one as a good guy. The Slovak premiere believes that the sides should cease fire, sit down for talks and solve the problems, ITAR-TASS reports.”

Muddying the waters. Anger management. Allied Russian condescension. You “Hot-Heads” of the West must simply calm down. It’s all you of the West’s fault for provoking the aggression.

Truly the Russian leadership, specifically Putin in this regard understand only total defeat. Anything less is considered appeasement, thus they will continue their aggression until they are defeated permanently.

The dismantlement of the Soviet Union was a temporary setback to the true believers. Putin being one of them.

I’ll go with Freedom every time.Thats one thing Russia still does not have and won’t have as long as Putin is still breathing.
