OK, Fox is now saying that Russians are pushing deeper into Georgia, but that it hasn’t been confirmed 100%. WE need to put some freakin lean mean paratroopers into TBLISI to hold the line and keep a buffer zone. Why are we not defending our allies?
Right now, logistics is the biotch. The Russians can roll over Georgia anytime they want because they have the armor in situ. We would need to fly the heavies in or send ships and the Russians would know that ahead of time. By the time we got our forces in, Tbilisi would be leveled. Once Tbilisi is lost then Georgia as we know it is pretty much gone. So anything we do now, if we do it, has to be under the radar. Yes we could send in a airborne division, but you generally do not land them into the advance of an Armored column. If we do send in the airborne they should be on the back side of the Lower Caucasus in support of Tbilisi. There is also a Russian military base in Armenia with 70 some T-70's tanks. The airborne could get stuck between a rock and a hard place. Not a great place to be. And once US troops go in, Russia is free to up the ante. We don't know what the Prime Minister of the Golden Horde has in mind here. Moving his pieces back and forth right now to cause confusion. He obviously wanted Georgia and perhaps much more.
Because our intelligence and the wisdom to guide it is not what it use to be friend. We need more gentleman-warriors like you in the White House. Time to serve America again but you won’t be alone, thats for sure.
