My point was: if it happens so often by other breeds, then why is it not reported? Why do you seem to think the media has it in for pit bulls? The gist of the story is a child was seriously hurt by a canine. It should not matter what the breed...unless of course, it’s the same breed that is doing the mauling time and time again.
There is no way you can convince me that the media is engaged in a cover up of attacks by other breeds just to promote the pit bull as vicious. What could possibly be the motive?
Source?
The only dog that ever did me any damage was a Chihuahua that ate up my hand when I was ten. It didn’t understand when I said, “Nice doggie.” And my folks didn’t sue anyone. Mom just wrapped up my hand and told me,”Let that be a lesson to you!”
I think the answer to that is obvious. Chow Chows do indeed inflict serious injuries on occaision. Cocker Spaniels & Chihuajuas can have pretty sharp temperments, but a bit from them is just not in the same league when it comes to the damage inflicted.
I raise small terriers & live in the country. Every once in a while one will burrow under the fence or sneak past me at the gate (at night) & I won't miss them right away. If that were a Pit, I could lose everything if somebody approached it the wrong way. People can be stupid around the most well-mannered dogs, and dogs on-the-move can have a sudden personality change.
How many times do those breeds KILL and FEED on a human being, as well as relent only after being SHOT multiple times?
