Great picture.
You KNOW these wo agreed on the date and time Bush was to make his speech.
Btw, you should also know by now that the EU is heir apparent to NATO.

I predict this is a ruse, prepare for Georgia to be crushed.
The Russians will say on the initial refusal of Georgia to their terms, we tried and they didnt want peace.
After all, this is the Russian way.
If anyone thinks this is over, you will be sorely mistaken.
Think about it, how can they allow outsiders to pick over their actions in Georgia, there is too much terrible evidence.
Raping Women, etc.. Georgia is done. They are using this to reduce the resistance as much as possible on their way to the capital.
You wait, they will have the President of Georgia in Moscow within a month if he doesnt commit suicide. And if you think he is going to the US Embassy, the Russians are making sure he doesnt get there.
If I was them, get ready to defend yourself rather than patting yourselves on the back.
The Russians are quietly laughing to themselves.
I hate them.

This is all because George Bush gave Putin the silly pet name "Pooty Poot".
Putin has been pi**ed off ever since.

Actually, President Bush looks pissed at Putin in that picture, to me.

Ah, the Guardian. Don't forget the European and American Left still have their lips planted firmly on the buttocks of the rotting corpse of the Soviet Union.
The Russians could report that Jesus walked with them and the Guardian would report it as fact.

In a tough statement yesterday, John McCain said the Nato rebuff to Georgia "might have been viewed as a green light by Russia for its attacks on Georgia. I urge the Nato allies to revisit the decision." The good news is that if McCain is smoking that much pot and gets elected president, we might get rid of the "War on Drugs". Germany is averaging 1.4 children per family right now. Anybody who thinks they're going to put any of those 1.4 children into harms way for the sake of Georgia is smoking too much reefer.

I fear you may be right. Russia looks like it extended past its supplies and resupply lines. A cease fire that leaves Russia's military in place looks a lot like a pause for them to reinforce and resupply.
There is no doubt that Russia made amove on Gori and Tblisi over the last few days, but stopped short, possibly because they were not sure they could do it. Could be that they want to beef up before hitting the main cities.
I hope not. But the old saying is "hope for the best, prepare for the worst".

Guardian communists with their usual bilgewater. Russia wanted to swallow Georgia hole. The heat of the reaction convinced them that now is not the time. Which wasn't a victory for the Russian murder squads, it was a victory for freedom. Eastern Europe got a good look at what Russia still is, and they won't be moving an inch in its direction for a generation, because of it.

Wouldn’t this just be the greatest opportunity for pound a few Iranian nuke sites into the 7th century? Russia would probably thank us for taking the heat off of them.

Yeah, the President looks pissed. And, yes, the Guardian is just carrying on where Izvestia and Pravda left off.

Putin is very weak-chinned.

Btw, you should also know by now that the EU is heir apparent to NATO. The stupid cultured Euros are going to let themselves get into another raging continent-wide war through their "sophistication". Damned idiots.

An Ambassador spoke of Russian humanitarian aide (the reason) to shore up the infrastructure of roads and rail through the Caucasus recently. He now knows why and isn’t happy at this Hitler-isk action.
