LONDON (AFP) — British energy giant BP said Tuesday that it has closed two more oil and gas pipelines in Georgia because of the ongoing conflict with Russia.

"We have closed two other pipelines in Georgia -- Baku-Supsa and the South Caucasus pipeline, which is a gas pipeline," a BP spokesman told AFP.

The key Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, which BP also operates, was shut last week after a blast occurred in a pump at a section in eastern Turkey.

Russia's armed forces on Tuesday denied deliberately targeting the strategic BTC conduit running through Georgia after Tbilisi claimed it had been attacked by the Russian air force.

Gosh, the media sure is reporting this a lot. They wouldn’t want the price of oil to go up, would they?

Russian jets “stitched” one of these pipelines with 50 missiles, at exactly 100 meters away, up along both sides of the pipe.

The press reported that the Russians “missed”; yeah, right!

It was a nice touch, I thought. Threaten the planet with higher gas prices, and let the military show off both attitude and a bit of, ummm, “marx-manship”.

Too bad we can't help Georgia (or anyplace else in the world) because we haven't got what it takes. Oil!

What is the cost of the Democrat "No Domestic Energy Policy?"

All of that puts the U.S. in a position that war for oil or
complete economic collapse will be our only choices.
You can't frustrate every source of domestic energy
without consequences. Our enemies will blackmail us
to the extent that we are vulnerable to blackmail.

The Democrats are leading us into a real war for oil.
A war we won't have the energy to fight.
