I heard that too, BUt I need to see if he said it himself, or if that was some “planted” information form the BHO team. These days, everything is questionable and the source really needs to be considered. I agree with you, how can you call yourself conservative and agree with OBAMA!

Yeah. i heard the Larry Elder report was kind of the same thing. Out of context. I have issues with McCain and may not vote for him in the general election, but I will NEVER vote for obama or any other “progressive”!

LOL. A late happy Monday to the infidels. I have to say, Dr. Savage did a great show today.

Very subdued tonite over the war in Georgia. No rants. I saw a map on another thread . If there is to be guerrilla warfare, Georgia ain’t a bad place.

Savage the Foreign Policy Realist: Could it be? He asked a lot of the questions that I have over the last few days, and came to some of the same conclusions. It was the best commentary that I have heard on talk radio since this began.
If you recall, I threw the question of Russian self-interest out on Friday's TSN thread.
To: SpaceBar
An overly simplistic analysis. Criticizing a specific geopolitical maneuver and it's wisdom or otherwise is far different than the "everything America does is bad" mantra of the left.
Well said, SB. Forgive me if I happen to think that there is more involved in the current Russo-Georgian conflict than Putin (read: Russia) the Ever-Reigning Dark Overlord and the blessed Trot global democratic revolution. And this is to say nothing of the history of the former Soviet Union and the breakwaway republics from 1992 to present.
Hate America? I don't think so. Has our government made a mistake in backing Georgia to the further consternation of Russia? That's fair game.
To: SpaceBar
The whole thing ia [sic] such a mess.
It's a gigantic mess right now; one that we're willing to antagonize Russia over, it seems. NATO uber alles?
To: Das Outsider
Realism sez what do we (the US) have available. NATO? How long since they fought? The political will to fight?

There are some who would love to see us involved in an armed conflict with Russia, a nuclear-equipped world power, consequences be damned.
Threatening the Russian Federation is the last thing we should be doing right now. In the past we have been willing to make alliances with states like Pakistan (nuclear and Islamic!), and Saddam Hussein's Iraq, for strategic purposes.
Geopolitically, who is the greater enemy: Islamic expansionism or Russia?
To: Das Outsider
Islamic expansionism
But both are not going to pull any punches.

I don't imagine Russia is too keen on Islamic terrorism within her borders--recall the Beslan massacre from a few years ago. Russia is dying due to internal, centrifugal forces: a loss of land and a loss of people, due to disease, demography, democratic revolutions, and what have you.
However, they are currently in business with both Iran and Syria. I suspect that the Russians might scrap both the Iranians and the Syrians for a better, long-term overall deal from the West. At this point, I think Russia is doing it's best to rebuild and hold on to some sense of dignity and prominence globally. But perhaps that's just me. ;)
The rise of Russian nationalism isn't an accident.

We screwed up big-time on that one, too, both during the Clinton and Bush administrations.

And we tripped over ourselves to arm the KLA, because of the eeeeeeeeeevil Christian Serbs, who had a much longer history in the region.

A little late to the thread I see.
