John Edwards has slowly been making a pot of scandal soup that will simmer (on tv, the internet, etc) for many months and years to come.
I hope his wife does something to save her sanity. I hope his wife does something to salvage the lives of their innocent children.
I can see Elizabeth’s reason for staying given her health and small children. I imagine their relationship is very frosty but for the kids I think she is smart in staying. I alwys thought it odd knowing you have incurable cancer and choosing to run for office but hey seems libs love power above all else!
There's nothing she can do. She knows she is dying, and she knows that the father will always be awarded permanent custody of the children after she is gone unless he does something unthinkable to all of the children. Otherwise, he will have custody. Even OJ got custody of his children after the civil suit found him liable for their mother's murder — another gift of the 9th Circuit to politically correct liberal fascism....
There are no words to describe how low Edwards' betrayal must feel to his wife. Elizabeth must wake up every day dreading that her children will have that cheap tart as their stepmom, and that this will be her dying thought.
Truly, I pity Elizabeth Edwards. Why didn't John Edwards just take a knife and stab her in the heart?
The most sickening part of Edwards interview with Bob the other night was when he mentioned McCain’s previous affair in his 1st marriage, and then said something like, “But I am not going to be the one to bring that up”....
That comment reveals all we need to know about this unrepentant, evil & deceptive heart inside of John Edwards. He has no love for his wife, he has no respect or compassion for what his children are going through, and he fully intends to remain with this woman with the weird first name who has recently given birth to his child. He would do anything or say anything to put himself in the best possible light. He has contempt for everyone involved in “outing” his affair. You do not go from total denial of “tabloid trash” to full acknowledgement of your moral failures that quickly if it’s sincere and genuine. It was not 99% false, in what the Natl Enq reported. There is no part of anything they have reported so far that has been proven false at all.
The cover up — the payments to her so she will not name the father on the birth certificate — the blackmail done to Andrew Young’s wife so she will endure the shame of her husband “admitting” to fathering this child — all of it is part of the wickededness of evil men and women who delight in their own pleasures, regardless of the price to the innocent children and families involved.
We need to leave Elizabeth alone. She’s dealing with the horrors of cancer and raising her children to not become just like their idiot father. She’s not responsible for what that guy does and says, I don’t care WHAT statement she supposedly put out there. How do we know John didn’t WRITE her statement and say it came from her? We don’t. The reality could be in her mind that as her cancer really IS progressed as far as I believe it is, this “woman with the weird first name” is going to be raising her children as their step-mother. That has to be in the back of her mind, like it would for any of us in her situation.
We know John E is lying every time his lips are moving.
