Kind of a snotty tone there good buddy.

Sorry. It wasn't meant to be.

I just meant that, as much as I'd support them, anyone who whacked a few wannabe 'ninja' cops would find themselves buried in so many charges it'd take a very competent attorney a year to read all the filings.

Not to mention the fact that some other illegal substances, guns, or kiddie porn would most likely 'magically' appear a la the infamous Atlanta Raid.

merely that the JBTs would not be high fiving and bragging about how "exciting" it was.

I completely agree. I don't think they'd like the kind of 'excitement' they'd be the recipients of.

I didn't mean to give offense. You and I seem to be in complete agreement. This crap has GOT to stop. While there may be justification for the occassional 'no-knock', such as a hostage or verified terrorist situation, they're nearly never justified in these situations.

Everyone involved in this little 'raid', including the Sheriff himself should be facing criminal charges for Federal Civil Rights violations.

Once some of these goons and their bosses get some serious prison time for this crap, the rest of them will most likely get with the program.

I was probably being too sensitive. What you say is no doubt true, but sooner or later they're going to run up against someone who doesn't care about that and has some party novelties prepared just for the occasion. Cops and cop suckers will tell you how cops risk their lives every day, but they don't. There are a number of more dangerous professions including commercial fishing, truck driving, construction work, etc. The police expectation is that they get to wave their guns around and mayby shoot someone or failing that shoot someone's pet, but they don't really expect have any high degree of risk. If they wanted risk while shooting at someone they could have joined the military, not the police.
