I’ve heard that dealers send packages via Fed-Ex or whatever to a random address and then try to pick up the package on the porch before the owner gets home.

If this is true, the dealers didn’t get there in time and the mayor picked up the package quite innocently, which in turn led to the raid.

Thats what I’ve heard happens. In another case the post office ran their drug dogs thru and found a package. It was addressed to a military guy. When he accepted the package they did the whole dynamic entry. Took him 3 weeks to get his kids back and 3 years to fight the charges. They kept threatening him with loss of custody unless he plead guilty.

First they charged him with dealing. When that fell thru and the feds refused prosecution the local idiots tried for possession. Their argument was since he was holding the package he had possession.

IMO any reasonable person knows this is wrong. However its probably easier to get a conviction with these than real police work. Added to the excitement of playing with automatic weapons and a dynamic entry and you have all kinds of fun.
