How about ““Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s”?
Perhaps you think they were Godly men in the time of Jesus.
Jesus was making the case that it all belongs to God. Everything. I guess you missed that, and can’t understand the further context it provides for this very conversation.
Follow the truth, do what’s right, and the money, security, and everything else will take care of itself.
Follow the lie, do wrong, shill for evil, and nothing on earth will protect your money or your security.
Without God, we’re uncovered and unprotected.
