UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United States suggested on Sunday that Russia was interested in "regime change" in Georgia after Moscow rejected Tbilisi's offer of a cease-fire in the separatist region of South Ossetia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had told U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the president of Georgia "must go," the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad, told the Security Council.
Khalilzad then looked straight at Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin and asked if Moscow was looking for "regime change."

kinda like Los Angeles (pronounced Los An-hel-es) is part of Aztlan because that is what a certain political party and other country sovreign to the U.S. say? The fact that this area has been a hornets nest and geopolitical firestorm for the Georgians doesn’t give them the right to clean house in there then I don’t know what does. Russia has been silent on the issues there, ignoring all talks to clear it up until the only recourse was military makes one wonder how deep the planning of Putin to return to the days of the U.S.S.R. or C.C.C.P. which ever one you want to embrace.

You sounds like a lussy Liberal. Can you answer me a simple question? Why Georgian can live in Georgia and ossetians cannot live in Ossetia? And why Georgia wants Osetia to be Georgia, when ossetians doesn`t want to be Georgian? They wants to be Osetians. And again. What's with the influx of heavy-accented Russian posters.

SkyPilot what the heck is your problem? You are purposefully editing pictures in a certain way to weaken this country’s hand. I expect the DNC and Obama to do this type of thing NOT a FREEPER. Your posts are cheap, uninformative and not helpful in educating others on what is going on in Georgia, what our options are and what Europe’s options are. You shame me. Why don’t you go over to DU. They would welcome you and consider you an ally to their way of thinking.

If you cannot see the problem then I cannot explain it to you.
Go post a few on the “dose” thread and see how long they last.

The poster told you that the President didn't pat the babe on the butt. So what exactly is your problem? If you cannot see the problem then I cannot explain it to you. Go post a few on the dose thread and see how long they last.
Cop-out response.
The president was visiting the volleyball team. One of the volleyball babes turned her butt to the president and asked him to pat her on the butt for good luck. The president declined and instead patted her on the back.
I guess some would have it that the president shouldn't visit our Olympians. Or maybe if a bikini clad Olympian asks for a pat on the butt, instead of giving the Olympian a pat on the back, the president should have cut his hand off and cried forgive me father for I have sinned.
Shhesh!

Eaker, I don't have a problem with free speech. But I expected more from
ShyPilot. His posts are stupid, manipulative and uninformative. Do you have a problem with ME practicing my free speech?

Close the Roki Tunnel. Cut off the Russians. Put a Fighter Squadron from Turkey over Georgia to defend Georgias airspace, and send Airborne Troops to contain Russsians in Georgia. The Russians are out on a limb here. Lets chop it off.

Eaker, you obviously didn't watch the Olympics yesterday. And because you didn't watch the Olympics you are a victim of SkyPilot’s propaganda and his poor choice of image selection.

Then you are responsible for thousand of dead RUSSIAN sitizens there.
Tell me, why are you Russian apologists falling back on this position? The fact that Russia gave citizenship to a bunch of secessionists in South Osettia in order to destabilize Georgia is not a defense.
It would be like if California decided to break away from the USA, and Mexico issued Mexican citizenship to Californians only to move into California and launch a ware against the USA. It's a totally bogus argument.
Good luck with your bombardment. You're lucky that Georgia isn't a NATO member.

They have to stop Georgian aggression and genocide of osetian peuple,Sir.
And two questions,Sir.
Where NATO`s war planes. And why they are not bombing Tbilisi yet?
Sir. Russia's idea of "peacekeeping" is fire bombing a civilian area. Get lost - your Pravda propaganda is pathetic.

In any event, the world will be a more peaceful place if we just let break-away regions break-away and become independent states. You cant force people to live together and if they dont want to, just separate them and things will be fine. Ok... Southern California wishes to leave the United States, claim Mexican citizenship, and launch attackes on American forces from within Southern California. Are you okay with that?

Surprised me too.
I figured there might be more to the story than just the provocative photo: low-lifes lay traps for people like President Bush.
