I’m aware of that, but I don’t understand how his post was responsive to mine.

Margaret Sanger (founder of PP) was a strong believer in eugenics. She wanted as many abortion clinics in the inner city as possible to reduce the number of "those people".************************
That's my understanding as well, although why I was drawn into this is a mystery to me.

You originally wrote:
Planned Parenthood is truly disgusting and evil. Lesforlife responded:
Why leave out racist murderers?
I believe that Lesforlife thought your statement would have had even more truth if you had written:
Planned Parenthood is truly disgusting, evil and racist murderers.

Thanks. I'm guessing you're correct.
Frankly, although I have more than a few times in the past mentioned this very issue of racism in PP, his post seemed to be a criticism, to which I object.
Perhaps I am being too sensitive, and I will leave it at that.

Those videos are laugh-out-loud funny, but not for any reason intended by the creative forces behind them.
The best is the creepy middle aged guy hanging with the kids. I also laughed at the girl contemplating a night of self love “I like me! I like spending time with me.”
Yep, honey, that makes one of us. I can’t stand you.
To: weegee
That creepy middle aged guy in the videos will do more to discourage teen sex than anything we can do. :-)

No apology needed.

Cal PP and ask them if they provide family planning. Then act excited and tell them you and your spouse want to have fourteen children and want their help creating the best plan. Have you seen the 1950 Cheaper by the Dozen?

And therein lies the problem with groups like Planned Parenthood -- and with way too much of pop culture. For Planned Parenthood and the anything-goes ethos it represents, young people are always going to have sex. In their worldview, there's no reason for live if you're not going to mimic the rutting bachelorettes of "Sex and the City." How could you possibly have a successful, happy life if it doesn't involve going through a condom a day?....and that right there is 'pop culture.' Anything goes, especially if it emulates someone beautiful on TV or in the movies. Has anyone ever looked at, and questioned, the power that pop culture and actors have on our country? For instance, why in the world would any actor testify before congress about health, environmental, public policy, or military issues? Because they play a politician on TV they are now qualified to give public policy?
We are in a world of hurt in this country because our heroes are not flesh and blood, but digital. We fail to see the true heroes around us and bow at the altar of the digital ones because they look and sound so good.
