Matthew 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for this beautiful day and for the peace which You have given our nation these many years. So much could have gone wrong within our borders, and thus far You have kept us safe. Continue to protect us, I pray, physically, emotionally and most of all spiritually.

Father, I pray for the President as he is abroad that You would keep him safe and that he might be a witness to those who do not know You. I pray for Your goodness to shine in darkened hearts and for all to go well with he and his family. I pray for any diplomatic issues which he is facing as he is in China. Be it Putin or the Chinese, may he be wise in his dealings and may You be glorified in what is accomplished.

I pray for the safety of all Americans overseas. And may we turn back to You to glorify You in all we say and do.

Go with us the rest of this day, Lord, I pray - in Jesus name, Amen

Amen to your prayer, in the Name of Jesus.

Holy God, Only You are worthy of all honor, glory, praise, and blessing. We know that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God, the Father. Father, we pray that by Your grace, and by the invitation of the Holy Spirit, You would bring hearts to the cross today, and knees to bow before You, so that more and more may inherit eternal life. Grant us this request, Lord, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Eye Of God
The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. —2 Chronicles 16:9

The Hubble Space Telescope has taken photos of the Helix Nebula. Some astronomers describe it as “a trillion-mile-long tunnel of glowing gases.” At its center is a dying star that has ejected dust and gas stretching toward its outer rim. Remarkable photos of it look like the blue iris of a human eye complete with eyelids. Because of this, some have called it the “Eye of God.”

Although this nebula is not literally the eye of God, the Scriptures do talk about God’s gaze on our lives. The prophet Hanani said, “The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (2 Chron. 16:9).

This proclamation of God’s all-seeing eye was given in response to King Asa’s reliance upon another ruler for military security. Asa seemed to have forgotten that it was the Lord God, not mere soldiers, who had given him past victories over his enemies (14:11-12). This spiritual disloyalty did not escape the notice of God, who seeks to pour out blessing on acts of obedience to Him.

Although we cannot see the eyes of God, we can be assured that He sees us. His desire is to show Himself strong to those who are loyal to Him with their whole heart.

Precious promise God hath given
To the weary passerby,
On the way from earth to heaven,
“I will guide thee with Mine eye.” —Niles

To know that God sees us brings both conviction and comfort.

I pray for President George W. Bush, his wife Laura and his other family members that they will be protected from all harm, and that they have a wonderful trip at the Olympics. I pray for our troops, protect them, and thank you for all our many blessings.
Amen.
