Rove: Obama should be way ahead By Klaus Marre and Walter Alarkon Posted: 08/10/08 12:40 PM [ET]
Republican strategist Karl Rove said Sunday the fact that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama does not have a large lead in the race shows that there are grave doubts about the Illinois senator.
With a restive electorate, with an economy that's sort of chugging around, with a war in the background, at the end of eight years of Republican rule in the White House, Obama should be way ahead, Rove, who engineered President Bushs two election victories and whose name is synonymous with tough campaigning, said on CBSs Face the Nation.

That Rove is .. is .. racist! /s
Obama isn’t performing up to hype. This is on his shoulders, not because McCain is beating him.
Rove, you magnificent bastard!
Do Ya’ll see how subtle this is, my god the man is a genius!
And fire hoses.

Sorry Karl, but there is so much more to Obama, what he IS and what he STANDS FOR, that old-fashioned political measures do not apply. America has NEVER seen the likes of Obama, what he is, what he stands for, and what he would do to America, in the Presidential race. Worse than McGovern, Carter, Kerry and Clinton combined. More dangerous than all of them, and far less experienced. What a horrid credential -— that must count for something, Karl.
Barry should be showing as a landslide according to hype and help from the liberal media. McCain should have packed up and gone home in utter awe. Instead, JM hasn’t had to do much at all to stay even.
So, what’s the problem Barry? Not enough Hopium to go around?
Do Yall see how subtle this is, my god the man is a genius!
I wish I had your enthusiasm for Karl. Were he to stand up and admit that it was the Swiftvets and their ads that proved the difference for GWB in 2004 I would gain a great deal of respect for him. His ego - and possibly his greater knowledge of what he and his team actually did - prevents that. But, mostly I think it's his ego.
I do agree with you that in this instance he is a genius.

TS
I’m still not convinced that Her Thighness is out of this thing yet. IMHO, she’s far more electable than the Messiah.
Rove is a sharp cookie.
Take him seriously.
I agree. We haven’t seen the last of The HildaBeast on this one. IMO there is some serious planning and plotting going on right now in preparation for the convention.
He is a sharp cookie. And now that he’s in Punditville he’s raised the bar for political punditry (and subtle action).
He’s too runtish.
Presidents, unless they have a metric ton of character, need to at least look like a big, fun, kid.
Arkancide.
McCain isn’t Bush. Making that case is a stretch.
With the teleprompters off, Obama is a worse speaker than Bush (imo). Didn’t the MSM go on and on about how Bush isn’t too bright, mostly because of his speaking ability?
I think it will be a close election again as usual, but instead of coming down to florida, chicago, or Ohio, it will be down to Oregon this time, (the gun-toting hippies just wont do it}
Unelectable, even with massive voter fraud.
