I’m a few kilometres from the explosions, my house mates felt it, and people up to 12 km away could feel and see it. It didn’t ever strike me as a high end facility, I’m surprised at the size of the explosion, it was like a mushroom cloud.

It’s mayhem out there today. With all the shop windows, I’m wondering how long til the looting begins, this is near gangbanger territory.
I’m supposed to spend 4 days in the Days Inn on that road, about 2.4 kilometres from the facility, starting August 20th. Hopefully, whatever damage was done to the hotel will be fixed up by then.
