Amen to that. Years ago, with some anticipation, I visited the 6th floor. Looking out that window, it was immediately apparent that even an average shot like me could have done it.
Bingo. With the limo headed directly away a low speed, all Oswald had to do was wait for the head to come into the sight picture.
I shoot paper plates at that distance with handguns. Any average shooter can hit a paper plate at 50 yards with a reasonably accurate handgun.
At that distance, I would expect to be able to hit a quarter with a scoped rifle.
Anybody who says a bolt action Mauser isn’t accurate is nuts. Didn’t the Germans use them for sniper rifles in WWII?
