You'd think the Clinton sleaze, the Condit affair, and other scandals would have taught Edwards a lesson. But no. Ironic that in face of this scandal, Dems have Bill Clinton speak at the convention. The Clintons, of course, have no sense of shame.

that’s part of what we’re seeing here. There’s no sense of shame on the part of Edwards or Clinton or anyone.

Edwards himself says he felt special and became self centered, etc. So it’s not hard to figure he felt above everyone and that he could have an affair and there would be no consequences. Even after Bill Clinton and all the others, it’s hard to believe that somebody would think there would be no consequences.

Edwards political career may have been over anyway, but it is totally done now. In ‘04 he ran for pres. partly because he didn’t think he could get re-elected as senator in NC. So as a failed two time pres. candidate who couldn’t get elected to any other office in his home state, he may have been yesterday’s news poltically anyway.
