“If that’s the best kind of R we can get in CT, we should take it.”

There’s nothing preventing Lieberman from caucusing with the Rs now if he wanted to. If Harry extends his majority, there’s talk of stripping Lieberman of his seniority and homeland security committee chair after the election.

“Caucusing with” doesn’t count toward a majority.

It takes more than 50 “R’s” to make a majority in the Senate.

They can be any kind of “R’s” in existence, but they must be “R’s.”

In states where there is not and never will be any such thing as a conservative, we still need people to vote for the R candidates so we can constitute a majority and open the way for some more conservative R’s from other parts of the country to head committees, etc.
