I disagree, Will88.

I think POTUS McCain...having WON without the support of the wacky RIGHT fringe...will be able to use the mid-term elections in 2010 to further stop the extremists in both parties from gaining influence.

The Gang of 10 is a perfect example. None are ideologues. They are all centrists.

Those are the voices that will arbitrate a comprehensive energy plan for the future of our country.

McCain...and Lieberman are the perfect choices to flip off the Far Left and Far Right...and get this country running smoothly again.

Just who do you consider the “far right” to be. Do you have any idea how many Republicans in Congress are being elected by conservatives, from southern states and mid-western and western states? If you think you’ll just spit in these folks face over and over and still have their votes, their you’re delusional.

You’re just the sort of elitists, nose-in-the-air Republican snob who’ve assure the party minority status. You’re kidding yourself that there are millions of Dem. voters just waiting to jump to the Republican side. And any anti-Obama vote this year will not necessarily become a long-term Republican vote.

Specifically what changes in major issues do you think Republicans need to make that will attract all these new voters?

Yes, they are a perfect example of how the Republicans can throw away their best issue this election year, and do damned to improve domestic energy production in the process. There was a thread on that yesterday, and few if any thought the Gang was a good idea.

And, almost no one thought McCain could possibly have approved of the Gang. I was and am very suspicious that he did approve because of his sidekick Lindsey being right in the middle of it.

Do you like the Gang of 10, and do you think McCain approved of it?
