So much for reasonable people on this thread.
BTW, there is *nothing* fiscally conservative about promoting a $2 trillion dollar amnesty program and expecting taxpayers not to revolt. Promoting slavery would bring on about the same reaction.
[Lieberman as McCain's Veep]... will secure millions of conservative, moderate and INDY votes....given the opponent.
I think this is really wrong headed. Given McCain's age, the veep choice is more important this year than in other elections. People want a veep that would be able to take over in the case of McCain's unfortunate demise. Placing a Liberal on the ticket as President-in-Waiting is NOT going to attract conservatives and moderates.
I agree with you on that.
If I were writing the script, Lieberman would resign like Spiro Agnew did...and we could appoint a genuine Conservative. (Although with a President Lieberman POTUS, as Iran joins the Nuclear Club would be interesting to say the least).
Because I'm afraid for this election cycle...marquee SOCONS need to keep an arm's length away from the spotlight and work the Smokey Backrooms. Let's not give the MSM or RATS a target.
As much as we both would like another Ronald Reagan to watch over the nation for the next 4 years...right now 'he' doesn't exist. So...let's win the Oval Office and get ready to beat the crap out of Pelosi, Reid & Friends in 2010.
