You never cease to amaze me. McCain's a moderate at best. He is liberal on several key issues, like immigration. Other than supporting the WOT and the battle for Iraq, Lieberman is a hardcore leftist! He's pro-abortion and supports the nanny-state liberalism.

It's a big deal, pilgrim. Supporting comprehensive immigration reform doesn't make you a strong conservative. It goes against every conservative principle I know of.

Reagan signed off on the IRCA of 1986 and lived to regret it. Thanks to Ted Kennedy and the Dems, that legislation was gutted. Instead of a secure border, serious employer sanctions and stiff penalties for foreigners who come here illegally. We have 20 million law breakers to deal with.

Lieberman as McCain's Veep is a wrongheaded decision that will not garner him more votes. It will lose him millions of conservative votes.
