“He has pledged delegates, his campaign was suspended not ended, he was expected to have a prominent role at the DNC in Denver in 3 weeks, he still could have emerged as the VP nominee (before this news) or even conceivably as a compromise Presidential nominee if the convention deadlocked between Obama and Hillary (unlikely, but that sort of thing has happened in the past)..... he was widely expected to be a likely choice for an Obama Atty General...... so yeah, he was still very much in prominent public life before this was is certainly fair game for such information to be revealed to the public.”
He is ‘fair game’ in the sense that this certainly dissolves his political future, but what I am saying is that we should not pile on. I will remind you all that our candidate does not have an immaculate marital history. I am not judging McCain on this, or even equating the two, but I am saying this is not a winning issue for us.
I was simply pointing out why it is legitimately newsworthy - he is certainly a very prominent public figure who was expected to continue to play a national role at the DNC and beyond, not an obscure private citizen. Now that he has lied to the MSM about it on a number of occasions, they may be motivated to go after this story..... otoh, since libs protect their own they will try to treat it as “old news” after this weekend.
