Perhaps, but now he isn’t. I am not for letting the guy off the hook, but I would not emphasize this politically, given that he is no longer a candidate and the fact that our candidates has a complicated marital past.
As an earlier poster noted, he was still in the Vice-Presidential hunt and likely would have had a high position in a Democrat administration in any case, so you bet this is important.
