Meanwhile Obama calls for activation of National Guard troops to protect downtown Atlanta.
What does the world’s most popular citizen have to say?
I wish he’d mention something about Mexican aggression. What do you call it when their army crosses the border and threatens US security officers? A misunderstanding?
We live in an unsafe world. I hope a cease fire can be established quicklu. It is good to hear McCain speaking on the subject....Obama is proably landing in Honolulu about now...I wonder what he has to say about it.
Fill up your tires. That shoudl solve everything!
McCain is out to lunch on this one.
Dang. If the Russians hadn’t have inflated their tires they would’ve run out of gas before they got there. Thanks, Obama!
He’s too busy having Obama girl pictures taken of him walking out of the ocean to say anything about this issue right now.
We haven’t heard from former President-elect Obama on this yet. I guess he’s on vacation.
Now that's leadership unlike Obama's "all parties should talk it out" statement.
What do you want him to do?
“Meanwhile Obama calls for activation of National Guard troops to protect downtown Atlanta.”
But, what about the countryside? Wouldn’t it be better to just surrender? s/
I bet Obama will blame Bush, when the real blame on bad blood between the US and Russia is squarely on the shoulders of Bill Clinton and the anti-Russian bigot Madeleine Albright.
Call the UN. They’ll warn ‘em to death.
Do I need a sarcasm tag?
Yeah... there's a decisive move from a prospective "Leader of the Free World". (/sarc)
I suppose we're supposed to take comfort in the knowledge that Obamination would be worse?
meh...
I have to second ClearCase_guy, where is McCain wrong in bringing this to the UN Security council and backing the Georgian call for a cease fire.
The rebeling provice is the home of some who want to realign with Russia, and their issues need to be addressed, but while that internal issue is being resolved, and they have chosen to resort to violence why is it in our interest to back Russia injecting itelf into the deal against a Georgain issue?
Days like these I wish Ronald Reagan was still in the white house. He knew how to deal with communist land grabbing thugs like Putin and Kremlin, Inc.
The UN security council will be absolutely worthless on this matter. Because Russia and China are on it!
Yugoslavia happened right in europe’s backyard and they didn’t do jack. McCain expects them to help on this matter?
Its going to be up to us once again to deal with all this.
Some places, the military response is the best answer, others like this one, all we really can do is support Georgia with military supplies and put pressure on Russia through meetings and agreements with other nations. McCain is not wrong about this.
I sure there is still room under Obama’s bus for the country of Georgia, which is exactly where they would end up if he was sitting in the whitehouse today.
He wouldn’t want to sour relations with his fellow comrades at the Kremlin.
