I just posted this on the live House Revolt thread, and wanted to place it here as well. Hope y'all don't mind.

First, sorry for allowing my old 24-7 membership to lapse. Divorce ran my head into other matters. All done with now, and I have returned.

I'm on Freerepublic.com, following the live thread on the House revolt in it's fifth day. Apparently, one of the FReepers called Pelosi's office (at 202-225-0100) and was first hung up on by Pelosi's staff, then told that she had, ""no reason to be juvenile."

She called the number 202-225-0100 and was hoping to ask the Speaker to help Americans in this energy crisis. The staff (who can be contacted at 202-225-0100) either was given instructions to act this way, or they're just being completely unprofessional.

Did I mention that Pelosi's office contact number is 202-225-0100?

Anyhoo, glad to be back. I'm going to make a few phone calls now. Namely to the number 202-225-0100.

Have a great day!

FWIW, I'd say both is a likelihood.

Do those Pelosi staffers really think they can get away with treating the public like that? They are a business after all, and any respectable business knows the rule “give the customer what they want”. It’s just because they have such a loathesome individual, Nancy Pelosi, as the “boss” of that office, that they feel that they can treat callers that way.

I was shocked to hear, yesterday, that Pelosi’s father had been a respectable man, a Conservative and in politics. Where did Nancy go wrong? No doubt she rebelled against her father in her college years, just as the hippies did decades later in the 60’s.
