>>>Then, we could have other self-inflicted mental illness and disease (aside from those we already do) subsidized by the government consolidating an ever increasing portion of the economy in the hands of the cultural Marxists.

THAT has made it to NJ:

Can I collect disability benefits for alcoholism and alcohol-related disabilities?
Yes. If you are disabled due to alcoholism or alcohol-related illnesses, you may collect disability benefits as long as you are under the care of a licensed medical practitioner and meet all other eligibility requirements.

Can I collect disability benefits for a drug problem?
Yes. As long as you are no longer using illegal drugs and you are being treated for the substance abuse in a program with a licensed physician, you may collect disability benefits. Your physician must certify that you are disabled, and you must meet all other eligibility requirements.

Let me thank you again, then, for posting these things. Very well put. It's the debate in a nutshell: Hating against that which IS.

Many of Freud's theories are quite insightful; some are too limited, IMHO.

Should we really be canonizing special societal privileges in the law based on idolatrous fetishes? Disability, welfare, Social Security, etc., etc., ad nausea...

Of course not; but the real question, ime, is why "we" do.

In the SF Bay area is one of the nation's strongest, most ardent "organic" movement, activists, products, sympathizers. Everything is to be used and viewed in its natural state. Meaning, "at the root".

Contrast this with "alternative lifestyles". Alternative lifestyles are artificial constructs, no matter the argumentation. A carrot (root) does not grow up to be a tomato. As environmentalists wag: A carrot CAN become a tomato if pollution has altered the genetics of the plant in conjunction with other "stuff". So, SF demands clean air, clean water, no plastics, etc. But somehow, paying for transvestites to have medical surgeries, etc., is considered "helpful" when in fact it is not based in organics. But rather psychotic form of thinking.

In the 70s, that was the basis of my argument against abortion when debating the subject: How can you not be organic about life in the womb? Most all vocal organies are also pro-abortion.

The mellower organies understood this.

And then there's folks like Code Pink who wage "civil war" while claiming to be anti-war.

And Peace and Justice organizations. They are always interferring with someone's rights, while claiming to be "for the people".

As you've written:

With pantheons of fantasies as their medium of infinitization, they still have nothing in them of reality, any more than there is in the things that seem to stand before us in a dream."

Yep: Armies in the Night.

Thank you. My comments on that subject are more appropriate here than on that thread.

If you ever read comments at the SF Chron, you'll observe that unity is across the board when it comes to the rage against the filth and despicable acts going on in SF.

Why should vagrants feel bad about pooping on people's door steps when there's a whole City Elite, bunging, being nude in public?

Why shouldn't they sleep and take over the public parks - when the gays get a pass for doing the same things.

I've interviewed many a "street person" during my time, selecting to spend time with the coherent to ascertain and learn about their rationale and justifications.

And then there's the gang crimes. No one can/is allowed to talk about who is causing the crimes because to do so would bring up stats, and the City would have to undergo another round of Amos Brown and his cultural sensitivities. Or Tom Ammianno and his cultural sensitivities.

For years, the brawl inside City Hall has been over which large power group will run the City: Blacks or Gays.

This has resulted in: infrastructure meltdown. And of course, the innocents get caught in the crosshairs. The money which is supposed to go to the "needy" (of any perspective) ends up in the pockets of those leading the hue and cry of "we need". Families see that in order to survive, they must to some extent TAKE A POSITION. Their children get caught up in gangs. The schools fail to educate and properly assist. The police are prevented from doing their duty. And the Democrats, gay, straight, minority, continue to demand MORE money to fix the "problems".

Obviously, in re the Fillmore, some special buddies have connections and an eye to turning in huge profits under the chimera of "gentrification". They say it will boost unemployments rates, get rid of unsafe (non-earthquake/non-fireproof) structures and ultimately rid the area of "vermin".

Heck, the Tenderloin was a "gentrification" project too. It's now going to be "certified" as a hangout for drugged people. A Sanctuary. For people to take drugs publically.

The people behind the scenes market this crap, the people who live in these neighborhoods get the full pressure and leave.

Tom Ammianno

King Pervert himself...

Quoting Young Seward in Shakespeare's Macbeth:

"The devil himself could not pronounce a name more hateful to mine ears!"

Mr. Gentrification himself: Tom Ammiano.

Did you know he used to teach 1st grade? He kept photos of his mate on his teacher's desk. Just in case the kids had questions, yeknew.
