I’m saying that when very pretty women get HUGELY obese, as you indicated, that the majority experienced bad sexual things.

You opened an issue that I narrowed.

Well, I think your assertion is just a little bit difficult to swallow, and impossible to verify objectively. How does one determine who is "very pretty?" How does one determine what is a "bad sexual thing?" There are activists on the left who believe that sex within marriage is assault, that all sex is rape, even when the female participant is completely willing. There are also women who seem to enjoy being mistreated; some actually seek out this type of partner.

You may have anecdotal evidence, I'll admit that possibility. If you're right, I'd say that's interesting. Do you work in law enforcement or in a position that brings you in contact with abused women?

I would say this. The person I mentioned was quite flamboyant in high school (I actually knew who she was since I was in seventh grade, but was never part of her circle, as I mentioned). She knew her looks gave her power, and she enjoyed using that power. I could tell you some stories, one of which is really very funny, about her antics, but to do so would run the risk of identifying her, and I won't do that.

It would not surprise me if she became involved with someone who was more than she could handle. She certainly enjoyed playing with live wires, so to speak.

As far as Schadenfreude, no, that's honestly not part of it. It gave me no pleasure to see her minus her beauty. My "she had lost her power" comment was just my honest reaction to her effect on myself and others, after all these years. It was meant as a comment on the march of time, and the evanescence of physical loveliness.

Think of the Beach Boys song "Oh Caroline, No" if you want to know how her appearance struck me.

It’s incredibly google-able, although my knowledge comes from study and not google-fu. Your assertions that beauty is subjective and that sexual abuse being connected to obesity is unverifiable...well...if you bothered to look into it at all you may find that you convince yourself that the vast majority of the evidence contradicts your opinions.

It’s also well known that young girls who use their sexual power have frequently been victims of abuse in the past. I have studied this, and I have known many women personally who have been through this. And gotten really fat later on. Again, evidence you can easily find on your own if you bothered.

Only you know the condition of your heart, so I can’t speak to that.
