ACORN “branches” all over have the same MO - we have been seeing similar ACORN actions here in Arkansas for decades...

All of us conservatives/FReepers, etc. need to make sure our national talk radio 'biggies' and Fox News covers this. Rush, Sean, Laura Ingerham, Mark Levin, Glen Beck, etc. need to rant and rave about it!!!!!

I see the W just signed a bill that will finance more of Acorn shenanigans. Why would a Republican do this ?

I dunno.... No spine?

Milwaukee was at one time a city populated by democrats who were pro small government, pro-defense, pro-family and pro-American. Now all these good people have left.

Milwaukee was at one time a great small city with hundreds of family-friendly parks, fantastic home architecture and really good restaurants.

Milwaukee, at one time, cleaned up its Mafia scum better than any city in America.

Back in 1967, Milwaukee citizens stood at the bridges over the viaducts to stop the rioting Marxist scum trying to march through the south side of the city. They were backed by Police Chief Breier and his able force.

Other cities burned; Milwaukee didn’t.

The tire slashing in Milwaukee last election was done by Solar Allah, Congresswoman Gwen Moore’s son, and former Milwaukee Mayor Marvin Pratt’s son. a dozen plus tires slashed on vans to be devoted to picking up elderly and otherwise mobility challenged Republican voters in Milwaukee county.

5 Kerry campaign staffers were charged - but allegations of Republican “disenfranchisement” got all the coverage, while Dem attacks and fraud got the whitewash.

Remember the smokes for votes too back in 2000, when liberal elitists bought cigarettes for homeless bums.

Well, I understand the problem and your/all of our frustration, but doing away with absentee ballots would be impossible. That would prohibit a lot of people who are unable to get out to vote to cast their ballot. For example: Handicapped people, others who are sick or home-bound for some reason, traveling salespersons, businessmen who are out of town, etc. There are thousands who vote via absentee ballot who are legitimate voters. But that doesn’t mean that some better way can’t be found to police this situation.

Harold Brier and Mayor Meyer would turn over in their graves if they saw the crap that is happening in their city now. We still have the great architecture and terrific restaurants, but we need to take out the trash.

I see your point about the absentee ballot, but it's a very flawed system. I'm sure many people are mailing in ballots of family members that have passed away, or worse, people who don't even exist. Perhaps requiring absentee voters to go to the registrar of voters, in person, at least once a year, to verify they are who they say they are would help. I wouldn't mind spending a few tax dollars to send out a person from the registrars office to check up on the handicapped citizens either.

I heard accusations also that some absentee ballots were “forgotten” about and never brought to the polling places because no one could figure out who had the authority to transport them. For all I know my absentee ‘04 ballot is rotting away in a box tucked away somewhere.

How many of you remember in 2000 when, in Madison, and I think Milwaukee as well, Liberals were caught giving street people packs of cigarettes to go in an vote for Gore?

I remember it very distinctly.

"cigarrettes"

I remember it, in fact I remember the NYC Dem directly involved bragging about it later. Not sure of her name. Carol Gilligan (?). Gore won Wisconsin by only about five thousand votes out of more than two million cast. I don't know if that swayed the election, but that was probably just a small sample of Dem vote fraud.

I just did some research, and the name of the Dem activist involved was Constance Millstein.

I am convinced that Wisconsin would have been in the Bush category both in 2000 and in 2004 were it not for the rampant vote fraud that occurs in Milwaukee and Madison.

We have it coming from all angles--bums on the street and their cigs, slimy Diamond Jim Doyle (our lovely governor) having bingo parties in the nursing homes where helpful and concerned volunteers "help" the residents vote, out of control students at Marquette and UWM who thought it was a joke to obtain ballots by the handful--and use them. And of course, led by the infamous tire-slashers--the bus 'em from polling place to polling place multiple voting "volunteers", many of whom come up from Chicago to vote who knows how many times before the inner city polls close late because so many are waiting in line. Heck, we even had a guy running for local office who "forgot" and voted in two different communities.

The Fan/Fred bailout contained something near $400 million for groups like Acorn.
