An ad for The Paris Hilton Presidential Campaign. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/64ad536a6d

I thought the clip was pretty funny. I should also point out that the approach she takes on energy is the approach the GOP is championing. Do everything including drilling...here and now.
I have to give respect to McCain’s team for striking gold on this one. Not only the ad finally made MSM to take notice who ran it for free on all the cable channels around the clock but it also prompted Paris Hilton to attack McCain. Follow me on this one. The story will stay in the media for another week and if she’s attacking McCain then it’s only logical to assume that she’s pro-Obama.
Obama camp are probably kicking themselves because this is something they have no control over. Once their candidate is mentioned alongside Paris in every soundbite this will stick with people.
Should I remind you that Paris Hilton is one of the most disliked people in America?
You too missed the implication of the word “blowback”...
Am I the only one that thinks this is insane? The world is on the brink...we are in a fight for our survival against terrorism....and f*cking Paris Hilton is in our Presidential debate???? What the hell is wrong?
What other kind of a rebuttal could a “tart” issue?
Finally! Someone who gets it :)
I didn’t see the first Sex Tape. Would I be able to follow a sequel?
How many times are you going to repeat yourself?
“Hey, the whole thing is totally tounge-in-cheek.”
I understand.
It just didn't work for me. The premise of the “ad” was a reversal. Here we have Paris Hilton, well-known by all as the ditzy blonde celebrity famous for little else but being famous, and universally reputed to be the epitome of the dumb blonde. But, lo and behold! It turns out that beneath that seemingly brain-dead image lies a brilliant, well-read, intelligent, well-informed intellect! And the comedy should proceed therefrom. As well as Ms. Hilton's put-down of Mr. McCain.
The problem is that in executing the whole thing, it must be done well enough to make one able to suspend one's disbelief concerning the reversal. Ms. Hilton came nowhere near, at least for me, the execution required for me to suspend my disbelief. All I could think during the video was, geez, this dumb blonde sure comes off as a fake pretending to have higher than a room temperature IQ. I wonder how many takes it took to get her to pronounce all the big words in the script properly.
Thus, the net effect, rather than being a successful put-down of Mr. McCain (the original purpose), is to make Ms. Hilton look even more foolish, stupid, vapid, shallow and lame than before her effort.

Since when was Paris’s opinion headline worthy?
$1000 says that if the ad were directed more towards Obama in a negative way this wouldn’t get any traction from the press.
I heard you used to able to buy it outside the 7-11’s in LA. But I never did get a copy! Maybe Nicole Ritchie still has her copy- the one she showed at her infamous party for Paris a few years back.
“Am I the only one that thinks this is insane? The world is on the brink...we are in a fight for our survival against terrorism....and f*cking Paris Hilton is in our Presidential debate???? What the hell is wrong?”
What’s wrong? We have the nominee of one of our national parties who’s policies make about as much sense as an airhead celebutard.
Dial-up isn’t the only connection that gets finicky. I have broadband and get interruptions and waiting periods. No need to apologize. I just saw the same post a few minutes apart decided to tease you a little.
“...Ms. Hilton look even more foolish, stupid, vapid, shallow and lame than before her effort.”
Rhiana as VP, “see you at the debates, b*tches”
I’m fairly sure she is not trying to pass herself off as a serious candidate. If you can’t see this for what it is, a harmless chuckle, then you’re taking things a little too seriously.
Uh, no, that's still off the mark. But you're getting closer... :)
