The feds have done their part in urging restraint and Texas has done its part in carrying out a just sentence, regardless of pressure from international meddlers. When you go to a foreign country, you are subject to the laws of that foreign jurisdiction. American kids get caned. American drug smugglers get executed. American spies get imprisoned. When foreigners come here, we have a duty to carry out our laws as our citizens—i.e., the victims—have a right to rely on American laws to avenge them and protect their survivors. Justice has been delayed long enough. Now it is between God and Medellin.

Great news that a governor can, in affect, tell Washington and the internationalists to SHOVE OFF! That needs to become a long expanding trend.

I'm glad Texas decided to "send a message" to other Mexican nationals who think they can come to this country to torture, rape and murder American citizens.
The "World Kangaroo Court" needs to mind its own business. We American adults have this stuff handled.

Actually this shows he was treated the same as the Americans who were convicted of this crime. One has already been executed before him (2006) and another is on death row. 2 more were 17 at the time and have life sentences. And one more has a 40 year sentence.
The one who was executed tonight was proud of his “macho” actions and boasted of them to police when he was apprehended 3 days afterwards.
This is not a case of mistaken identity. If we were to free him then we should also free the Manson family.

"Texas Executes Mexican Despite Objections" The headline just makes me smile.
There are in fact some things that just end as they should, no matter who kicks and screams and behaves like an embicile. Sometimes, things just end in the way that nature would have it.

Maybe there’s hope after all.
Republicans in a fighting mood and now this.
I’m feeling optimistic.

Minor correction to the headline:
Texas Executes Mexican Despite Objections in Accordance with State Law
There, that's better.
