Paris handled this real well. I know her parents went a bit ballistic, but Paris being the publicity hound she is took full advantage of it and showed a good sense of humor.
I don’t understand why the Hiltons would be so upset. McCain’s ad didn’t say anything bad about Paris, it just flashed pictures of high profile celebs so people could make the connection that just because someone is a celeb doesn’t make them presidential material.
It might just all be hype to keep McCain in spotlight in an interesting way.
Yesterday I was telling some of my colleagues that Paris should record a humorous YouTube video with digs at both candidates and announce her candidacy plus her plan for solving the energy crisis. My version would have been even better than this one :^) but I’m glad to see she heeded my sage advice.
I may have to hang out my shingle as an expensive PR consultant to celebutantes seeking to improve their public image..... :^)
She did forget to call for a constitutional amendment to allow a 27 y.o. to serve in the presidency, though.
Paris handled this well. But the McCain camp shouldn’t have reponded to her ad. They had a spokesman issue some type of statement regarding Paris.
It lends her credbility when she has none. Dumb move IMO.
