In an effort to cast himself as independent of the influence of money on politics, Senator Barack Obama often highlights the campaign contributions of $200 or less that have amounted to fully half of the $340 million he has collected so far.
But records show that a third of his record-breaking haul has come from donations of $1,000 or more - a total of $112 million, more than the total of contributions in that category taken in by either Senator John McCain, his Republican rival, or Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, his opponent in the Democratic primaries.
Behind those large donations is a phalanx of more than 500 Obama "bundlers," fund-raisers who have each collected contributions totaling $50,000 or more. Many of the bundlers come from industries with critical interests in Washington. Nearly three dozen of the bundlers have raised more than $500,000, including more than a half-dozen who have passed the $1 million mark and one or two who have exceeded $2 million, according to interviews with fund-raisers.

Where are they raising all this money? Money is going to correspond to polls - at least I would think so. But they are raising so much more than their meager poll shares. In fact half of their donations come from unlisted locales.
Obama has easily raised more from Wall Street than McCain (which incidentally seems filling up with more and more hedge fund liberal types). As far as lobbyists go he has more than taken his share from Kirkland & Ellis LLP. And “big oil.”

Take a few minutes for an informative exercise. Note I didn’t say fun.
Go to the site below:

Enter Obama’s name and the zipcode you live in, you work in or any around you.
Let the search machine do the search.
I’m surprised at how low Obama’s big bucks are in the rich two counties, I’m familiar with. The big bucks were put on Kerry in the last presidental election. Obama is still getting some, but not the breadth and depth Kerry had.

Osama Hussein Obama’s biggest donors:
Iran
Syria
Hezbollah
Hamas
Al Qaeda
Chavez
Obama’s “small donor” meme was the justification to his flip-flop on campaign financing.
There's 3 universities to remove from the list my kids will be allowed to consider. I don't want my tuition money supporting the destruction of the nation. How about just stick to educating students you buffoons?!
The liar will keep being revealed for the fraud and figment of his own imagination he really is.

Lawyers make up the largest group at about 130, with many working for firms
!!!
that also have lobbying arms.
!!!
At least 100 Obama bundlers are top executives or brokers from investment businesses - nearly two dozen work for financial titans like Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. About 40 others come from the real-estate industry.
The biggest fund-raisers include people like Julius Genachowski, a former senior official at the Federal Communications Commission and a technology executive who is new to big-time political fund-raising; Robert Wolf,
president and chief operating officer of UBS Investment Bank; James Torrey, a New York hedge fund investor; and Charles Rivkin, an animation studio head in Los Angeles.

So much for the common touch, the man who would not accept $$$ from lobbyists. Unreal, how stupid and misguided these allegedly smart donors are.

That same thought came into my old mind.
Our sons are past college age.
However, our grandkids 7 and 9 have college funds. I’m thinking about contacting their uncle on their mother’s side as we are funding most of their 527 funds to see about blocking these left wing universities as potential universities. The grand daughter may be conservative enough that we don’t have to worry. Her brother is a little young yet.
Fortunately, their father our oldest son refused to even consider UC Berk and UC Davis when he went to college.
Any surprises re the names where you work?
Were there big donors for Kerry in your home zip?
Our cul de sac had some big time Kerry donors in 2004 and most of the wine industry in the valley and the liberal law firms. That ain’t showing up yet for Obama the Oreo CINO.
