Not sure why it’s the Brazos and not the Trinity or Pecos (although the Pecos headwaters in New Mexico), but whatever. And since we’re ‘dunkin’ maybe we could bring donuts along...

I think because the Brazos IS Texas!

..The original colonial 'capital' of Texas was San Felipe de Austin in Austin County on the Brazos...(not to be confused with present day Austin in Travis County)

..the first skirmish against Mexican authority was on the Brazos...

..there's quite a bit of history on the Brazos.

Texans are proud of the Brazos.

(and I prefer krispy Kremes :)
