I’m in southern NY state. We just moved in this house on March 30. We used 50 gal in April with the heat at 60 degrees. We froze. Come January I expect to be permanently blue.
Every summer, it seems all the hoopla is about Summer driving, as if that's the only problem with high gas prices. In reality, it's the Winter heating season I worry about, because the demand is a lot less elastic. Folks can just shorten their Summer driving if the price is too high, but how do you economize the heating oil? Run the thermostat at 50 and pray for warmer weather?
Hillary’s constituents are going to be screaming this winter! They’re already having a tough time in upstate NY.
My brother is in Conn. and has a pellet stove which he says is terrific. Has to use the oil furnace tho for hot water!
