Well I was in Brazil and yes, they are oil independent, but their air is still polluted and they are now burning the rain forest to grow plant sugarcane for the ethanol profits.

Now that they have found oil off the Brazilian shelf I suspect they will become a great source for exporting.

BIG GREEN is not the answer. If you saw what they are eating in Brazil you would know that the way they “solved” their energy problem was not a solution just a band-aid. They are largely a poor, poverty stricken Country.
