Meaning that if you were alive in the 1700’s prior to the Constitution being written, you could run. After that, you had to be born here or born to a citizen at least 21. Right?

Please keep in mind that I am only dealing with the ability to run for office. If Obama were elected and then found to be ineligible to be President, he could not be sworn in and the person elected Vice-President would then become President (25th Amendment, I think). Bill and Hillary may be thinking of such a scenario.
