Since when is being Jewish a race?

That is a muddy question isn’t it? What do you call the group of people that claims they descend from Abraham through Isaac? A tribe?

Jews, unless converted to Judaism, are of the Semitic race, as are Arabs.

Few conflicts are as vicious and devastating as those between relatives. The American Civil War, "brother against brother," saw more Americans die than all other wars we fought in combined.

That’s what I mean by being a muddy question. Jewishness is more than a religion but less than a race. While I could join them in professing their religious tenets, I can never join the tribe.

There may be more baggage packed into the word Jew than any other word in any language.
