SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. - Workers at the Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Shelbyville will no longer have a paid day off on Labor Day but will instead be given the Muslim holiday Eid al-Fitr as a holiday.
According to a news release from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, a new 5-year contract at the plant included the change to accommodate the hundreds of Somali Muslims who work at the plant .
No more Tyson from the super. I’m going to local butchers from now on.
Since I heard of the connection between Tyson and the Clintons, I haven’t bought any.
I HAVE OFFICIALLY PURCHASED MY LAST TYSON PRODUCT EVER.
With the help of the limp-wristed socialists in our congress we are being eased out of the picture.
I don't know what it is that infects these weasels once they get to Washington, but whatever it is their heart and guts are replaced by a form of robotics.
Just fired off an email to Tyson letting them know that I will not be buying anymore of their products due to this decision. Screw ‘em!!!!!
They warmed up to the klintoons so this is actually a step up.

I, too, stopped buying Tyson products when I learned that they are a BIG contributor to the Dems.
I bet they won’t be processing any pork chops or bacon in this plant.
Even more reason to boycott Tyson products. I wonder how many of them dragged our troops through the streets of Mogadishu.
The dopes at Tyson probably don't know that Ramadan moves forward approximately 11 days each year. That means the holiday will be at a different time as it rotates through the calendar over the years. Hope it falls at inopportune times for the company.

The company couls have said no, we won't require our supervisors and managers to work Labor Day or any other federal holiday.
This not only affects their workforce and opens their 'products' to the possibility of terrorist manipulation, but it packs the small Tennessee city with a rabble eagar to suck up more benefits.

I think you’re missing the story. The union has 700 Somalis out of 1200 total. Days off are addressed in union contracts. Unions have to have their members ratify contracts. That means a vote. The Somali’s voted for their holiday. What change would you make to prevent that?
