Do you know where Friday's vote to adjorne can be found?I heard what was said to be the audio of the vote. It was a voice vote, which means the side that yelled the loudest won. You really couldn't tell what was going on, there was so much noise.
It was not a roll call vote in which each member's vote was recorded, so what your congressRat told you was almost certainly a flat out lie, not that that would be a surprise.

I heard the same audio on Hannity's show. They followed the voice vote with with a 15-minute roll call (individual vote).

Some palce, on one of these threads, it was posted that the vote to adjourn was taken on Wednesday. I believe there was also a list of who voted. Adjournment passed by ONE vote.
The audio that you heard was when the Speaker closed the Session early, at 11:30 am on Friday, because about 100 Republicans had signed up to speak on offshore drilling. She refused to allow it and shut down lights, mics and turned off cameras.
