Did the article misrepresent those who ride to Sturgis?
I thought is was an event for all those who enjoy riding.
Vets included.
The article makes it out to be a Motorcycle gang event.
Nope, you name the profession, it will probably be represented at Sturgis.
Well, maybe excepting the liberal professions, like diversity coordinator or some such.
Then, there's the vets on hogs, and they are all over the place here. Elks on hogs; Masons on hogs; Catholics on Hogs, Protestants on Hogs. There's rednecks on hogs.... and the article is thinking the riders are ?what? ?
Throughout CA, the riders are libertarians and conservatives.
Oh. No wonder the author thinks the riders are "bad" people.
I've been Driving I-29 Regularly the last few days. Bikes are everywhere. Most are on trailers though.
I guess the wild Hog(think Movie) reference was right on. Cross country might be a bit much for those that simply ride from lunch counter to lunch counter.
There will be all kinds of riders at Sturgis. Die hard bikers who live on the road, yuppies with trailers full of chrome, and yes Virginia every outlaw club in the nation will be represented.
