IMPORTANT PHONE NUMBERS BTTT :)
you’re in Winter Park??
Freepers should send an email to Pelosi at sf.nancy@mail.house.gov and let her know what you think. I think all the Botox has seeped into her brain, but she is no different than Dingy Harry or Hussein Obama on this issue. They hate America and are glad to see us suffer with record gas prices.
I’m starting to feel more optimistic. The GOP and McCain are starting to show they have stones. McCain is coming out with some good ads and Boehner is starting to look like a real leader now.
Barbque, beer, graft, mistress,
continuing with their guerilla tactics from last week, House Republicans will be back on the floor Monday to talk gas prices, even though Congress is in recess, and they may stay there all week.
guerilla tactics? LOL Do I am proud to be a guerilla lover then.

You may be right. But then again- maybe your cynicism needs a vacation :)
Bush has abdicated his leadership of the party.
Its up for grabs, and these guys look like they just might take charge.
First Monday in August there might be a few regular folks in the area that can show up too.
If nothing else, we do need to reward our reps when they actually do spend time working on the priorities they SHOULD be working on! Positive feedback as it were.
Go eeevil, you were awesome on Friday and you are still hanging in there! Call those reps, call the leader and the whip, call the President, let them know you want action NOW.
By Friday, I expect the president to call Congress back into session, and it will look as though Congressional Republicans put a gun to the president's head and made him do this. It will make the party in Congress look good at just the right time.
The icing on the cake would be if McCain came back to Washington and made this part of the campaign.
Well peasant, are YOU ready to storm the Hill?
“The STUNT was that the Speaker of the House turned out the lights, cut the microphones, and turned off the cameras.”
This is an interesting point. Had she not done that, there probably would be no publicity about this.
Couple of things....
First, Lindsay Graham on Fox News Sunday said he thought John McCain should call for congress to return and/or for Bush to call for congress to return and vote on the matter.
Graham is a buddy of MCCain so I don’t think he would have thrown this out there without some prior knowledge.
Another pubbie pundit, forget his name, said that this issue was a big one for the pubbies and that they should follow it through.
So McCain might make this part of the campaign if he calls for the President to force a vote.
Also, Laura, Rush, Sean and Mark Levin (who covered this big time on Friday) will be around to hype this thing. Especially Rush, coming off his twentieth anniversary week, will come on at the perfect time to push this thing.
If those guys spent their weekends properly preparing, this could be a big deal. They should have rounded up folks with cameras, alerted all of the media, arranged for guest on with the big radio talk show guys.....
No way the MSM can ignore a McCain call to action. That makes it part of the campaign.
But be skeptical folks. I’m quite sure a few pubbies are telling these upstarts to cool it.
Gonads and spines.
We can hope.
Pinger
Then you didn't hear the recording of the anger when Pelousy announced the session closed?
