Another reason I would think is Israel needs her troops to defend the home land. Her population is small and she is surrounded by irrational and vicious enemies.Perhaps, but the point is that Humblegunner refuses to respond to this after attacking the Israelis for doing what the rest of the world won't let them do.
Sometimes it's as if 9/11 never happened and I'm back in '99 arguing with "The_King_of_Ithaca" or "Jericho" or "A+Bert" or momzers who used the names of Nazis as their screen names.

In the first Gulf War, Israel was asked specifically not to "contribute". The Arab states have pointed rejected any Israeli troops in the wars of Iraq and Afghanistan.
From USA Today in 2002
"Israel reportedly helping with U.S. war preparation"
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2002-11-03-israel-usat_x.htm
Speaking on condition of anonymity, members of the Bush administration, intelligence officials and diplomats described Israel's involvement
*Israeli commandos, using their own satellite intelligence and imagery provided by U.S. intelligence services, have conducted clandestine surveillance missions of Scud missile sites in western Iraq, according to the intelligence official and a senior Pentagon official.*

Wow, that’s a stupid argument.
We won’t take Israeli troops, as it would ‘inflame’ the Muslims in Iraq and Afganistan... making them think that Israel is controlling American troops to ‘oppress’ the poor, innocent Muslms.
(Gag!)
But that’s how Muslims think.

Maybe that’s one reason I live in Israel all the time that I can, for the last 30 years...I live better in Israel than here...

I tell you why I do John. When I was learning Hebrew from a Jewish person in Jerusalem, she asked me a very good question. She asked that if you believe that Jesus is the son of G-d, then why do Americans put his name on billboards and bumbers? And she had a good point. In Judaism, they are taught not to take the name of G-d in vain, and I think that that is a valid point. So I will not show my ignorance or disrespect for G-d...We leave out the vowel because it will not spell the whole name of G-d, but you know whom we are talking about.

So do you not spell the word "dog" because it is "God" backwards?

Actually, I am not sure if I fit your definition of a Christian. I truly believe that Jesus was the Son of G-d, and the he came to redeem us all. But I am a believer in the sense of Cornelius, who identified himself as a G-d Fearer. Do I fear G-d, you bet! I respect his name and will not take it likely...

I do not wish to honor a dog, so I will leave in the vowel. If you wish to honor a dog, spell it anyway that you wish.

Are you ignorant or merely obtuse?
If Israel were openly involved, no Arab would support us.
That said, Israel has had a longstanding program of helping Iraqi and Iranian Kurds, so I'm sure that Israeli intelligence was used.

Israel is a Western democracy and ally of the US. It was an ally in the Cold War and is one now.
So what don't you like about Israel. (And don't pull anti-colonialist claptrap and pretend to be conservative.)

Yes, the Christians. Who are not afraid to spell GOD. Then spell. But do not insult.

Well, Israel is sure doing a jam-up job in helping with the War On Terror. I mean, just count the troops they provide for Iraq and Afghanistan.
Considering the order of battle in the WoT, I would grant Israel full credit simply for continuing to exist.
That took about a second, huh?
It shows.

To respond to your earlier posts, there are three main theaters in the War on Terror. In Afghanistan an international coalition, led by the US and NATO is fighting the Taliban and AlQuaeda. In Iraq a coalition led by the US and the government of Iraq is fighting remnants of AlQaeda, Iranian backed milia, and Islamist terrorists. In the Israel theater, the Israeli government, without assistance, is fighting Hezbollah, Hamas, and Fatah terrorists. Since the Israelis have certain logistical advantages in fighting in this area, and since our allies in the other theaters do not want Israeli troops, it makes since for Israel to continue to fight in their theater of the WOT.

Of course, you missed the point. Direction in text is an entirely arbitrary human convention.

Wow, you must have really been pounding the abuse button if the mod got tired of you. For the record, humblegunner isn't an anti-semite, he's been a good FR poster for more years than you've seen on this forum. No pounding of the button. I must have caught the Mod at a bad time. There are some "good guys" (as someone else labeled Humblegunner) who become a little crazy when Jews or Israel are discussed. Pat Buchanan is one such. Is it anti-Semitism or just a honest divergence of conservative principles when it comes to that one topic? Quien sabe? I let Humblegunner's puerile ranting against Israel stand for itself.
But one point I can state with clarity: he has not been here on FR longer than I.
